Four simple movement assessments that take 10 to 15 minutes and start to reveal why you're in pain, where your body is compensating and what we need to address to fix it for good.
Most women living with recurring pain have never had their body assessed properly. They've been told where the pain is, given a generic exercise sheet and sent on their way. These assessments are different.
Each one looks at a specific area of your body and how it's moving, or not moving, at a joint level. Together they build a picture of where your dysfunction is, where your body is compensating and why the pain keeps coming back.
They take around 10 to 15 minutes, require no equipment and can be done at home. All you need is a little space, a chair and an honest eye for what you notice.
Assesses your hip range, mobility and whether there's a left/right imbalance. One of the most common drivers of lower back and knee pain.
Looks at how freely each hip is moving and whether your pelvis and lower back are compensating. A key indicator of recurring hip and back pain.
Tests the range of movement through your full spine in flexion. Highlights where your spine is moving freely and where it's restricted.
Assesses how much movement you have through pelvic extension and whether your upper back is doing the work your lower back should be doing.
You don't need to be in severe pain to benefit from these assessments. If any of the below sounds familiar, your body is already telling you something worth listening to.
You train regularly, you show up, but recurring pain keeps getting in the way. You don't want to stop, you want to fix it.
You've tried the physio, the massage, the stretching. It helps for a while, then the pain comes back. You're ready for a different approach.
You're done with generic advice. You want to know exactly why the pain exists and what's actually driving it.
It's not just exercise. It's affecting your sleep, your work, your travel, your confidence. You're ready to take action.
You've been told your scans are fine, to rest, or to just live with it. You know there's more to it and you're right.
You're not sure where to begin but you know something isn't right. These assessments give you clarity on where to start.
Not just where you feel the pain but the real reasons as to why that pain is there in the first place and where is responsible for creating it.
When one joint isn't doing its job, another takes over. These assessments show you exactly where your body has been overworking to compensate.
Most people have no idea how differently their two sides move. Identifying these imbalances is often the first step to understanding your personal pain on a much deeper level.
The results give us a map. From here we can identify the root cause and build a plan to fix it properly rather than manage it month after month.
